Mounjaro® Weight Management Pens — Now Available from Your Pharmacist

Mounjaro® (Tirzepatide)

What is Mounjaro?

Mounjaro contains tirzepatide, which mimics two natural hormones called GIP and GLP-1. These hormones help regulate appetite and food intake.

Mounjaro can help you:

  • Feel fuller for longer

  • Reduce hunger and food cravings

  • Eat less

  • Support weight loss and weight maintenance

Mounjaro is not a quick fix and works best as part of a long-term approach to healthy weight management.

Who is Mounjaro for?

Mounjaro may be suitable for adults with:

  • BMI of 30 or above, or

  • BMI of 27 or above with at least one weight-related health condition, such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obstructive sleep apnoea, cardiovascular disease, prediabetes or type 2 diabetes.

Your pharmacist will assess your individual health, medical history and medicines before prescribing.

How is Mounjaro taken?

Mounjaro is injected once a week, under the skin of the abdomen or thigh.

Treatment normally starts at 2.5 mg once weekly for four weeks, followed by 5 mg once weekly. Your dose may then be gradually increased depending on your response and side effects.

The maximum dose is 15 mg once weekly.

Your pharmacist will show you how to use your Mounjaro pen correctly.

What results can I expect?

Everyone responds differently to treatment. Mounjaro can produce significant weight loss for many people, but results depend on individual factors, dose, lifestyle and how your body responds.

Regular follow-up is important to monitor your progress and make sure treatment remains appropriate.
